Counting visits
Visits are counted through an analytics provider (EU): which page was opened, the site you came from, country, browser and device type, and how far you scrolled. No cookies are set. A random visit number is kept in your browser's session storage and disappears when you close the tab.
Your choice
Readers in the UK and Europe are asked first, and nothing is counted unless they say yes. "Statistics choice" in the footer lets you change your answer at any time.
Hosting
Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and running the site.
